Dog Life Skills Couse
Our 7-week training course is suitable for dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds, whether you have a young puppy just starting out or an older dog needing some guidance and structure. Each session is carefully designed to build your dog’s confidence, improve their behaviour, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog.
We offer weekly classes with convenient start times of 18:25 or 19:30, with each session lasting one hour—making it easy to fit training into your routine.
Throughout the course, we focus on developing essential skills and good habits in a positive and supportive environment, helping your dog to learn, grow, and truly flourish both at home and out in the real world.
Classes are held indoors at Miers Court Primary School, Silverspot Close, Rainham, Gillingham. ME8 8JR. Ample on-site parking available.
Dog Life Skills Class Exercises
These training exercises focus on building essential skills that help create a well-mannered and responsive dog, both at home and out in everyday environments.
Loose Lead Walking teaches your dog to walk calmly by your side without pulling, making walks more enjoyable and controlled.
Leave helps your dog learn to ignore or move away from items they shouldn’t have, improving safety and impulse control.
Recall focuses on getting your dog to come back to you reliably when called, even with distractions around.
Not Jumping Up works on encouraging polite greetings, preventing your dog from jumping on people and promoting calmer behaviour.
Stay develops your dog’s ability to remain in one position until released, building patience, focus, and self-control.
Together, these exercises provide a strong foundation for everyday obedience and help your dog become more relaxed, attentive, and enjoyable to be around.
Cost
The cost of our 7-week dog training course is £140, offering excellent value for a structured and comprehensive programme designed to support both you and your dog. Across the 7-weeks, you’ll receive professional guidance, practical training exercises, and ongoing support to help build strong foundations and lasting results.
Each session is carefully planned to ensure steady progress, giving you the skills and confidence to continue training outside of class. This investment not only improves your dog’s behaviour but also strengthens your relationship, making everyday life together more enjoyable and rewarding.
